ABOUT US

Why the name Tortoise?  We are inspired by the great outdoors and the creatures that live in it.  The tortoise is one of the longest living animals on earth and it is our goal to help others to achieve a long and fulfilling life.  We all LOVE to live life to the fullest, but sometimes that can bring us into dangerous situations that could cut life short.  It’s always good to be prepared.

Tortoise brand survival and outdoor gear exists on a passion for the outdoors and the safety of those who play and live in it.  Playing and living in the outdoors gives the ultimate feeling of freedom, but with freedom comes responsibility.  One of the biggest responsibilities is being prepared for any life threatening situation that might come our way.

As an outdoor lover, backpacker, and seasoned survivalist I have always loved small but useful items. I have spent countless hours in the outdoors hiking, living, rescuing, and teaching survival skills. 
I plan to use my outdoor and survival expertise to create new and exciting niche products that people will love. My hope is that these products will bring a further appreciation for the outdoors and perhaps even save lives. We’re glad you took the time to stop by and check us out.
